The following community service opportunities are available to
SHPL cardholders currently in grades 6-12.
Participants must sign up with their own SHPL card in order
to receive community service.
Community service letters are emailed within 2 weeks after the program.
Space may be limited.
Additional community service opportunities may be available to sign up
for at Teen Advisory Board meetings.
National Nurses Week Thank You Goodie Bags: a Community Service Program
Friday, April 25
7:00-8:00pm
Show gratitude and earn one hour of community service by creating goodie bags for our Huntington Community Nurses. One hour community Service. Registration begins April 18 at 7pm.
Inspiration Cards: a Community Service Program
Saturday, May 17
1:00 – 3:00pm
Drop in between 1:00 to 2:00pm and create cards for the Little Saint Nick Foundation that will distribute the cards to local hospitals to help children feel loved. One hour of community service.
No registration required, but you must have a South Huntington Library Card to receive community service.

Be a part of the process and hear from our candidates for the 2025-2026 Executive Teen Advisory Board. There will also be in person signups for our Summer Volunteer Club. One hour of community service.
Teen Advisory Board - Last Meeting until September

7:00-8:00pm
Attend our final meeting until September and bid farewell to our seniors and celebrate with ice cream and Italian Ices. This will also be the final chance to sign up for our Summer Volunteer Club. One hour of community service.
