January 2026 - New Movie Releases

As we reflect on a blockbuster 2025, the new year kicks off with an incredible selection of fresh arrivals for our library shelves. This January, we look forward to major home video releases like the highly anticipated Wicked: For Good and Disney’s sci-fi spectacle Tron: Ares. Our newest additions offer the perfect way to cozy up and start your 2026 watchlist.

Tron: Ares (January 6)

In this sequel, the story shifts focus from humans entering the digital world to a digital entity entering ours. A highly sophisticated Program named Ares (Jared Leto) is sent from the digital Grid into the physical world on a dangerous mission to secure the secret of "Permanence." As he navigates the human realm, Ares begins to develop consciousness and must choose between his original programming and the survival of humanity.

The Smashing Machine (January 6)

A biographical drama that follows the turbulent life and career of legendary MMA fighter Mark Kerr (Dwayne Johnson) during the no-holds-barred era of the UFC. The film explores his rise to championship fame while documenting his internal struggles with addiction, romantic relationships, and the physical toll of the sport.

Wicked: For Good (January 20)

Now demonized as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) lives in exile in the Ozian forest, while Glinda (Ariana Grande) resides at the palace in Emerald City, reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, she'll need to reunite with Glinda to transform herself, and all of Oz, for good.

One Battle After Another (January 20)

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Bob Ferguson, a paranoid former revolutionary living off-the-grid who must spring back into action when his teenage daughter is targeted by an old nemesis. As he navigates a relentless series of high-stakes set pieces, Bob struggles to overcome his own substance abuse and past betrayals to protect his family from a sprawling government conspiracy.

Roofman (January 20)

Based on a true story, Channing Tatum stars as a former Army Ranger who gains notoriety for robbing dozens of fast-food restaurants by meticulously cutting through their roofs. After a daring escape from prison, he hides inside a North Carolina Toys "R" Us for months, secretly living within the store's walls while falling into a complicated romance with an unsuspecting employee.
