Through group discussions and constructive critique, this workshop will help participants write the most powerful and effective stories their imaginations can come up with. We'll cover craft elements such as setting, character, voice, descriptiveness, and editing. In this supportive environment, participants can work on existing or new writings, a full novel, flash fiction, short essays or even a blog. The workshop is taught by New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist Robbie Woliver who also teaches writing and journalism at Farmingdale State College. There is a $20 fee. Registration begins Sept. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; others Sept. 9.
