    Details : What lives in your backyard? Meet a variety of animals that might live in your neighborhood. Learn the importance of looking after our resident wildlife and how we can be better neighbors. Visit with a box turtle, an opossum, a rabbit, a screech owl, and maybe a surprise guest or two. Register July 17.
  2. Color Your World Adult Coloring

    Details : Who says coloring is just for kids? Let your creative juices flow and color something beautiful while you socialize and meet others in the community. The library will provide coloring pages and pencils, but feel free to bring your own.
  3. Register for Jewelry Craft: Celestial Bracelets on 8/7

    Details : Instructor Marlena Konas will teach you how to make these fun stretchy bracelets with celestial charms. Each patron will make 2 bracelets to take home. Different charms and colored beads will be available to choose from. There is a $10 materials fee, payable at registration that begins July 17 for South Huntington cardholders, out-of-district July 24.

  5. Introduction to Mah Jongg

    Details : Instructor Donna Miller-Small will teach the basics of beginner Mah Jongg. With simple step-by-step instructions, you will gain the skills and knowledge to play with others. Please purchase an official 2019 Mah Jongg card and bring it to class. There is a $40 fee for the six-week course, and enrollment is limited. South Huntington cardholders register beginning July 1, others July 8.

  12. Learn to Speak English

    Details : Adults who want to learn English are invited to participate in free ESL classes. Taught by a native English speaker, the classes are designed to help new English speakers practice and improve basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English, in a casual and fun environment. The classes are free and open to all.
