Library Cards Made Easy

South Huntington Library cards are now easier than ever to obtain, thanks to revised procedures. Patrons can still apply for a new card or renew their card at the library by showing a driver's license, utility, phone or tax bill. But now patrons can also obtain or renew their card over the phone, fax, or online via the library's website.

Homeowners:
If residency can be verified using the Town of Huntington's Property Tax Record database, we will mail a new library card to the home address.
Non-homeowners:
Residents who do not own a home must still present one of the forms of identification mentioned above but can now fax the required documentation to the library to receive their library card in the mail.

In addition, Library cards are valid for three years, rather than one year, which will make it easier to use online features that require a valid card, such as program registration and electronic databases.
