Calling all Mets fans! Meet Dana Brand, author of "The Last Days of Shea: Delight and Despair in the Life of a Mets Fan," who will talk about the trials and tribulations of being a Mets fan (which, incidentally, is the title of his other book). Mr. Brand is a professor of English and American literature at Hofstra University. SNY Mets broadcaster Gary Cohen called "The Last Days of Shea" "a truly terrific book. Filled with passion and sincerity, it offers a deeper understanding of what it means to be a fan." Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing. |
