    Details : Join South Huntington teacher Mrs. Correll as she reads her newly published children's book, The Squiggle Book, and invites kids of all ages to embark upon a fun, squiggle adventure! Following the reading, Mrs. Correll will guide students in a fun, creative squiggle art activity! Register July 16.

    Details : Build confidence and sharpen your imagination in this two-day class! Students learn acting through role-playing and a variety of other fun activities. Come and gain a basic understanding of what acting is all about! Register July 16.
  3. Register for Toddler Tie Dye on 7/30
    Time : 9:30 AM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Let the colorful creativity flow while making a one of a kind t-shirt using a technique perfect for little hands. A t-shirt will be provided for each child. Smocks will be available but make sure everyone dresses for a mess because the dye is permanent. Register July 16.
  4. Apollo11 VR Experience
    Time : 10:00 AM
    Location : Technology Center
    Details : Mark the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 with an immersive documentary that you can experience through a virtual reality headset. The documentary is about 45 minutes long. Please call the library to make an appointment beginning July 3, others July 10.
  5. Intermediate Tai Chi

    Details : Instructor Joe Cronin will help you take your Tai Chi practice to the next level. There is a $33 fee, payable at registration beginning June 4 for SHPL, others June 11.

    Details : Look, listen, and have fun with songs, stories, and movement activities. When storytime is over, there will be twenty minutes of playtime with age-appropriate toys. Siblings welcome. Registration begins July 2.

    Details : LICM's space camp is now open to all aspiring astronauts. Discover how technological innovations such as the telescope, the space shuttle, and the lunar lander have shaped our knowledge of outer space. Come have a BLAST as we explore the wondrous science of rockets, then become an aerospace engineer as you take on our lunar lander building challenge. Can your "astronaut" survive the difficulties of a lunar landing? Register July 9.
  8. Evening Yoga

    Details : End your day on a positive note with a yoga routine led by instructor Augusta Berner. There is a $31 fee, payable at registration beginning June 4 for South Huntington cardholders, others June 11.
  9. Bedtime Book Buddies
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : Book Buddies involves older kids helping to teach younger kids the fun and joy of reading. Teen volunteers from our community will read to or with their younger partners followed by an activity with the teen helping the child, and concluding with the buddies sharing a snack. Register June 25 at 7 p.m.

    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Technology Center
    Details : Publisher is a great tool for creating visually rich, professional-looking publications without investing lots of money and time in a complicated desktop publishing application. Learn the basics from our librarian Jo Ann. South Huntington cardholders reserve their seat beginning July 2, others July 9.
