    Details : Get treated like a princess and come to our pretend "spa day"! Have your nails and hair done by members of our library's Teen Advisory Board and then we'll read some stories about being a princess. Please bring your own hairbrush and feel free to come dressed as a princess. Registration begins February 9.

    Details : Restart those brain cells after chilling out all week on break! Join us for some fun and exciting rounds of our Young Adult department's version of America's Favorite Quiz Show! Snacks... laughs... fun! Registration begins February 9.
  3. Register for Living Healthy Series on 1/19 CANCELLED CANCELLED

    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : This free, 6-week workshop will help you manage your health and maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Topics include healthy eating, developing a safe physical activity program, working with health professionals, planning for future health care and making informed treatment decisions. The program is free, but please reserve your seat. South Huntington cardholders register beginning Jan. 2; others Jan. 9. This program is presented by RSVP Suffolk and funded in part by the Suffolk County Office for the Aging.
  4. A Time for Kids

    Location : Program Room
    Details : Enjoy a series of fun, educational classes for preschoolers ages 18 months - 5 years (not yet in Kindergarten) and an adult caregiver. This is a skill building, interactive class that will help prepare your child for independent learning experiences. Register January 26.
  5. Drop-In and Play

    Details : Get out of the house, meet other parents and kids and have fun playing and talking together. It's a great way to meet other families in our community. Stay for as long or as little as you like.
  6. Crochet for Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Miss Gail will teach you basic stitches. After you have perfected your stitch, you will be given instructions to make a crocheted scarf or bag. Please bring to class a J crochet hook and a 4 ply skein of yarn. Register January 5.

    Details : Just in time for Valentine's Day! Fill a tiny bottle with gems, sparkles and a personalized message. Add a charm and fashion into a unique necklace to give to a special person. Registration begins January 26.
