    Details : Children (ages 2 to 3) and their accompanying grown-up participate in a program of music and movement, stories and a simple craft led by one of our children's librarians. Siblings are welcome. Registration begins January 2.

    Details : Kick off your week on a positive note with this energizing yoga routine led by instructor Augusta Berner. There is a $28 fee payable at registration beginning Dec. 4 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 11.
  4. Study Hours in the YA Library

    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : The YA Library will provide extra tables and chairs for group study in support of our local school students preparing for midterm and Regents exams. During these hours, gaming will be suspended.

  6. HOMEWORK HELP AT THE SOUTH HUNTINGTON LIBRARY

    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first served basis. This program will be on January 22, 29, February 5, 12, 26, March 5, 12, 26 and April 9, 16, 23,30.
  7. Eat Your Way to Better Blood Pressure CANCELLED
    Time : 7:00 PM

    Details : Do you have high blood pressure or borderline hypertension? Learn how what you eat can play a role in managing your blood pressure. Kathryn Petritis, holistic chef and graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts, will help you take the salt shaker off the table and learn simple tips for achieving flavor in food. She will also discuss hidden sources of sodium and show you how to read food labels. There is a $10 fee, which includes recipes and handouts, payable at registration beginning Jan. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; others Jan. 9.
