  1. A Time for Kids

    Details : Enjoy a series of fun, educational classes for preschoolers ages 18 months - 5 years (not yet in Kindergarten) and an adult caregiver. This is a skill building, interactive class that will help prepare your child for independent learning experiences. Register January 5.
  2. Living Healthy Series
    Time : 10:00 AM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : This free, 6-week workshop will help you manage your health and maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Topics include healthy eating, developing a safe physical activity program, working with health professionals, planning for future health care and making informed treatment decisions. The program is free, but please reserve your seat. South Huntington cardholders register beginning Jan. 2; others Jan. 9. This program is presented by RSVP Suffolk and funded in part by the Suffolk County Office for the Aging.
  3. Drop-In and Play
    Time : 12:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Get out of the house, meet other parents and kids and have fun playing and talking together. It's a great way to meet other families in our community. Stay for as long or as little as you like.
  4. Crochet for Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Miss Gail will teach you basic stitches. After you have perfected your stitch, you will be given instructions to make a crocheted scarf or bag. Please bring to class a J crochet hook and a 4 ply skein of yarn. Register January 5.
  5. Teen Drop in and Craft
    Time : 6:00 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : Listen to music, hang out and get creative. We will provide the supplies and craftswith basic instructions to get you started. No registration required. For those entering grades 6-12.
  6. Friday Flicks: Brad's Status
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Theater
    Details : A father takes his son to tour colleges on the East Coast and meets up with an old friend who makes him feel inferior about his life's choices. Ben Stiller, Austin Abrams. R, 102 mins.
  7. Tweens Night Out: Zipline Madness
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Working in teams, you will design a zipline contraption and experiment with a variety of cables and pulleys to achieve maximum speed. Enjoy some snacks while you race against your friends. Register January 5.
