  3. Register for Solar Eclipse Exploration and Viewer Workshop on 8/18

    Details : Are you ready for Total Solar Eclipse 2017? Meet with an ambassador from the American Astronomical Society and learn about what an eclipse is, why this one is so special, and how to view it safely. Then, stay and create your own eclipse viewer. Register August 4.

    Details : Enjoy a series of fun, educational classes for preschoolers ages 18 months - 5 years (not yet in Kindergarten) and an adult caregiver. This is a skill building, interactive class that will help prepare your child for independent learning experiences. Register July 28.
  5. Color Your World Adult Coloring

    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Who says coloring is just for kids? Let your creative juices flow and color something beautiful while you socialize and meet others in the community. The library will provide coloring pages and pencils, but feel free to bring your own.
  6. Drop-In and Build

    Details : Get creative and build some awesome structures with our building blocks, Magna-Tiles, Lincoln Logs, Bristle Blocks, Fantasy Fort, and Smart Max construction toys. It's a great way to meet other families in our community. Stay for as long or as little as you like.
  7. Crochet for Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Miss Gail will teach you basic stitches. After you have perfected your stitch, you will be given instructions to make a crocheted scarf. Please bring to class a J crochet hook and a 4 ply skein of yarn. Register July 7.
  8. Outdoor Summer Concert: Teen MusicFest
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Outdoor Garden
    Details : Talented teen musicians from our community will perform. South Huntington cardholders can get free tickets for seating in the garden beginning July 1. Get them online at www.shpl.info or in person at the Circulation Desk. Tickets are valid until 6:50 p.m., when non-ticket holders will be seated, if there is space. You do not need a ticket to sit on the upper lawn, but bring a blanket or chair. If it rains, we move inside to the theater.
