    Details : Children and their caregiver will participate in interactive hands-on learning and play stations. A community professional will be on hand to answer parent's questions. Siblings may attend. Registration begins April 4.
  2. Intermediate Tai Chi
    Time : 10:00 AM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will lead you in the classic Yang 24 Form as she helps you deepen and refine your practice. The class will also feature a short meditation. There is a $55 fee for this 7-session class payable at registration beginning Feb. 7 for South Huntington cardholders; others Feb. 14.
  3. Tai Chi Sword Form

    Details : The 16 Sword Form is based on Yang Style Tai Chi. This class, taught by instructor Rosanne Pawluk, is for the intermediate student already familiar with the Yang 24 Form. The movements are slow, gentle, and beautiful. For those interested in learning a weapons form for the first time, the 16 Sword form style is a great place to start. The use of a (plastic) sword is encouraged but not required. There is a $58 fee payable at registration beginning Feb. 7 for South Huntington cardholders; others Feb. 14.
  4. Homework Help at the South Huntington Public Library
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  5. Zumba Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Zumba Kids classes are rockin', high-energy fitness parties packed with specially choreographed kid-friendly routines. Participants should wear sneakers, comfortable fitness clothing and bring a bottle of water. Registration begins April 4.
  6. Evening Yoga
    Time : 6:30 PM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : End your day on a positive note with a yoga routine led by instructor Augusta Berner. There is a $25 fee payable at registration beginning Feb. 7 for South Huntington cardholders; others Feb. 14.
  7. Social Media for Community Leaders
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Theater
    Details : Calling all volunteers involved in PTA, youth sports, religious, civic and fraternal organizations: Whether you are organizing a fund raiser, trying to grow your organization or rallying around a cause, using social media is a great way to get the word out. Social media expert Caitlin Meuser will show you how to use various social media platforms to benefit your organization. All welcome. (This workshop was rescheduled from March.)
  8. Spring Cupcake Decorating
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Jess Kennaugh from Blondie's Bake Shop will teach you how to fill, frost and decorate cupcakes that will be perfect for any spring celebration. You will practice using a pastry bag and tips to apply frosting as well as learn about various flavor pairings. Each participant will go home with four cupcakes of their own creation! There is a $10 materials fee payable at registration beginning April 4 for South Huntington cardholders; others April 11. Enrollment is limited.
