    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will teach you Part 2 of the classic Yang 24 Form practiced in the US and China. The gentle flowing movements of tai chi aim to increase balance, flexibility and relaxation, and improve overall mind, body and spirit. There is a $42 fee for this 8 session class, payable at registration beginning Feb. 6 for South Huntington cardholders; others Feb. 13.

  6. Homework Help at the South Huntington Public Library

    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  7. Creative Writing
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : This 6-week workshop focuses on creatively writing about anything you want. Through group discussions and constructive critique, this workshop will help participants write the most powerful and effective stories their imaginations can come up with. We'll cover craft elements such as setting, character, voice, descriptiveness, and editing. In this supportive environment, participants can work on existing or new writings, a full novel, flash fiction, short essays or even a blog. The workshop is taught by New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist Robbie Woliver who also teaches writing and journalism at Farmingdale State College. There is a $20 fee. Registration begins Jan. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; others Jan. 9. Enrollment limited.
