  1. Register for Gingerbread House for Grownups on 12/18

    Details : Why let kids have all the fun? Grownups will assemble their own gingerbread houses and decorate them with icing and all sorts of yummy candies and treats. It makes a great holiday decoration, centerpiece or hostess gift. There is a $15 fee, which includes all materials, payable at registration beginning Dec. 4 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 11. Enrollment is limited.

    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will teach the classic Yang 24 Form practiced in the US and China. The gentle flowing movements of tai chi aim to increase balance, flexibility and relaxation, and improve overall mind, body and spirit. There is a $37 fee payable at registration beginning Oct. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; others Oct. 9.

  9. HOMEWORK HELP AT THE SOUTH HUNTINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  10. Advanced Battle of the Books Interest Meeting

    Details : If you are in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 and love to devour every detail of your favorite books, then we have need of your trivia skills. We need up to twelve powerful readers who will be called upon to memorize material from three preselected books: Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley, Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum and Starflight by Melissa Landers. We will train to compete against over twenty other Suffolk libraries on March 23, 6-9pm at Connetquot High School for the title of County Champion! Pick up the books, help setup our meeting schedule and read on! No registration required
