    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will teach the classic Yang 24 Form practiced in the US and China. The gentle flowing movements of tai chi aim to increase balance, flexibility and relaxation, and improve overall mind, body and spirit. There is a $37 fee payable at registration beginning Oct. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; others Oct. 9.

    Details : Children (ages 2 to 3) and their accompanying grown-up participate in a program of music and movement, stories and a simple craft led by one of our children's librarians. Siblings are welcome. Registration begins December 4.

  5. HOMEWORK HELP AT THE SOUTH HUNTINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  6. Student Civic Engagement Forum
    Time : 6:00 PM
    Location : Theater
    Details : Former U.S. Rep. Steve Israel will be the special guest at a student forum co-hosted with the library and Next Generation Politics. The whole community is invited to attend, but especially high school and college students. They will have the chance to talk to the former congressman, who is also a published author and a former Huntington Town council member, about issues that they are interested in.
  7. Beginner Crochet: Make A Hat
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Instructor Joanne Cohen will teach you how to make this cute hat to keep you toasty warm this winter. Please bring to class a size I hook and one skein of worsted weight - 4 yarn and a yarn sewing needle. There is a $5 fee payable at registration beginning Dec. 1 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 8.
