    Details : Instructor Joanne Cohen will show you how to crochet a simple hat that you can make in an hour. Please bring to class one 10 oz. ball of mega bulky yarn, 6 or 7 weight, in the color of your choice; a size Q /16.00mm crochet hook and scissors. There is a $5 fee payable at registration beginning Jan. 9 for South Huntington cardholders; others Jan. 16. Enrollment is limited.

    Details : Create three melting snowmen out of buttercream and fondant using assorted candy decorations. Register January 9.
  3. Tai Chi for Beginners

    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will lead you in the classic Yang 24 Form practiced in the US and China. The gentle flowing movements of tai chi aim to increase balance, flexibility and relaxation, and improve overall mind, body and spirit. There is a $42 fee payable at registration beginning Dec. 5 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 12.

    Details : Children (ages 2 to 3) and their accompanying grown-up participate in a program of music and movement, stories and a simple craft led by one of our children's librarians. Siblings are welcome. Registration begins January 2.

    Details : Instructor Augusta Berner will kick off your week with a yoga routine to strengthen the body and relax the mind. There is a $32 fee, payable at registration beginning Dec. 5 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 12.

  7. Homework Help at the South Huntington Public Library

    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  8. Cooking Class: Wok 'n' Roll

    Details : Celebrate Chinese New Year (Jan. 28) with Chef Rob Scott. He will show you how to make Asian Orzo Vegetable Salad, Oriental Slaw with Roasted Peanuts and Barbecued Chicken in Lettuce Cups. Tasting samples and recipes will be available. There is a $10 fee, payable at registration beginning Dec. 13 for South Huntington cardholders; others Dec. 20. Enrollment is limited.
