Come and find out why people enjoy it so much while you meet others and socialize. The library will provide coloring sheets and art supplies, but feel free to bring your own. Adults only, please.

  3. Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands Caregivers Workshop

    Details : The Parker Institute will offer a three-session training program developed for those who are caring for a loved one with dementia. Topics will include: Understanding Memory Loss, Living with Dementia and Using the Cares® approach. Upon completion of this program caregivers will feel more comfortable and confident caring for their loved one. Register beginning July 1.     Details : Whether you enjoy bridge, canasta or mah jong, bring your game supplies and some friends and spend time playing and socializing. We will set up tables and chairs in the Young Adult Library on the lower level.

  9. Teen Yoga Journaling

    Details : Join yoga instructor and English teacher Kelly Maguire in this unique class which explores techniques to unify body, mind and spirit. Learn yoga practices to help you achieve balance and stress relief as well as exercises for self-reflection and awareness through guided writing and meditation. Please bring a yoga mat or towel. Registration for South Huntington library cardholders begins June 15th.

  11. Learn to Speak English

    Details : Adults who want to learn English are invited to participate in free ESL classes. Taught by a native English speaker, the classes are designed to help new English speakers practice and improve basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English, in a casual and fun environment. The program is free, and all are welcome.
