    Details : Join "A Time for Kids" for a special program. Interactive activities for children ages 2-5 years with an adult caregiver include singing, dancing, storytelling and much more! Math, reading and school skill readiness materials are matched with the theme of our friend, Pete the Cat, to create an hour of preschool educational fun! Make and take home an adorable Pete the Cat craft. Register November 4.
  3. Register for Teen STEAM Challenge on 11/18

    Details : Exercise your STEAM problem solving skills in this friendly team competition. A fun challenge will be unveiled on the night of the program to be sure you use your noodle, not your Google! Register November 4.
  4. A Time for Kids

    Details : Enjoy a series of fun, educational classes for preschoolers ages 18 months - 5 years (not yet in Kindergarten) and an adult caregiver. This is a skill building, interactive class that will help prepare your child for independent learning experiences. Register October 7.
  5. Color Your World Adult Coloring

    Details : Try out the latest trend: Coloring for adults. It's so popular, in fact, that many of the best-selling soft cover books are adult coloring books! Come and find out why people enjoy it so much while you meet others and socialize. The library will provide coloring sheets and art supplies, but feel free to bring your own. Adults only, please.

    Details : Get out of the house, meet other parents and kids and have fun playing and talking together. It's a great way to meet other families in our community. Stay for as long or as little as you like.
  7. YA Writing Workshop with author Gae Polisner! CANCELLED
    Time : 6:30 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : Join author Gae Polisner, THE SUMMER OF LETTING GO and THE PULL OF GRAVITY, for a novel-writing workshop designed to get you started writing or to recharge your writing enthusiasm. Ms. Polisner will cover topics ranging from Where Ideas Come From to Creating Conflict, from Writing Dynamic Characters to Pacing and Finishing your first work of fiction. Participants will engage in hands-on writing exercises and Ms. Polisner will conclude the workshop with a Q&A and answer questions about the publishing industry and how to query agents. Register October 21.
  8. Friday Foodie Film Fest: Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? (1978)

    Details : A fast-food tycoon, his ex-wife and a gourmet magazine publisher are involved in a fast and funny murder mystery. The publisher is ordered by his doctor to give up his favorite dishes to lose weight, and one by one the creators of those dishes are murdered in the manner of their specialties!   9. Tweens Night Out: White House Cookie Challenge

    Details : If you were elected president, wouldn't your first order of business be to make the White House a little more colorful? Construct your dream presidential residence with a cookie kit, frosting, and a variety of delicious decorations. Please let us know of any food allergies when registering. Register October 28.
