    Details : Ever imagine you could be a great artist but then think you can't even draw a straight line? Well then have we got the program for you! Enter our bad art contest and show off your skills, or lack thereof, with the worst possible creation you can come up with! Light snacks will be served as we show off our pieces of art and decide which is the ultimate "worst"! Please dress for a mess. Register November 28.
  2. Tai Chi for Beginners
    Time : 9:30 AM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will lead you in the classic Yang 24 Form practiced in the US and China. The gentle flowing movements of tai chi aim to increase balance, flexibility and relaxation, and improve overall mind, body and spirit. There is a $32 fee for this 8-session class, payable at registration beginning Oct. 3 for South Huntington cardholders; all others Oct. 10.
  3. 1, 2, 3 Play with Me

    Location : Program Room
    Details : Children and their caregiver will participate in interactive hands-on learning and play stations. A community professional will be on hand to answer parent's questions. Siblings may attend. Registration begins October 24.

    Details : Instructor Augusta Berner will kick off your week with a yoga routine to strengthen the body and relax the mind. There is a $32 fee for this 8-session class, payable at registration beginning Oct. 3 for South Huntington cardholders; all others Oct. 10.

  6. Create Your Own Comic Strip
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : If doodling characters all over your notebook is a fun pastime for you, you may be a cartoonist. Come find out! You will learn how to create, name and draw your own comic strip in this workshop with Helen Murdock-Prep, cartoonist and creator of "Shrinking Violet Comics." Register November 7.
  7. Homework Help at the South Huntington Public Library
    Time : 6:30 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
