    Details : Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk will lead you in the classic Yang 24 Form as she helps you deepen and refine your practice. The class will also feature a short meditation. There is a $42 fee, payable at registration beginning Aug. 2 for South Huntington cardholders; all others Aug. 9.

    Details : Look, listen, and have fun with songs, stories, and movement activities. When storytime is over there will be 20 minutes of playtime with age-appropriate toys. Siblings welcome. Registration begins October 4.

    Details : Moderator Helen Harris will lead a discussion of Ransom by David Malouf. Multiple copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk. New participants and listeners are welcome.
  4. Writing Your Memoirs
    Time : 1:00 PM

    Details : This 6-week workshop concentrates on autobiographical writing. Everyone has a story, and this workshop will help participants write powerful and effective memoirs through group discussion, constructive critique and writing assignments. Led by author and journalist Robbie Woliver. Fee $20. SHPL registers Sept. 6; others Sept. 13. PLEASE NOTE NEW DATES: Class begins Sept. 27 and ends on Nov. 1.
  5. Homework Help at the South Huntington Public Library
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : High School students will assist children in the community with their homework assignments in the YA Library. Parents/Caregivers must remain in the building during the program. Help is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  6. Zumba Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM

    Details : Zumba Kids classes are rockin', high-energy fitness parties packed with specially choreographed kid-friendly routines. Participants should wear sneakers, comfortable fitness clothing and bring a bottle of water. Registration begins October 4.

  8. Mothers' Center
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : This weekly discussion group for mothers and their children is part of Mom-mentum's Mothers' Center Groups. Led by a trained facilitator, participants will be introduced to various topics and activities that celebrate and explore motherhood. Toys and books will be provided during the program for the children's enjoyment. This program is open to all mothers with children. Register September 6.
  9. Teen Advisory Board
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Young Adult Room
    Details : The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an active organization made up of teens in grades 6-12 who work together to make a difference in our library. They help decide what materials should be purchased, plan programs and work on special projects. Meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday night of the month at 7pm. Community service hours are provided. New members are always welcome!
