    Details : Ever wonder who is awake at night when you are dreaming? Nature is. Explore the part of nature that thrives in the moonlight. Learn the benefits and difficulties of being nocturnal. Get ready to use your senses to transform day into night! Register July 17.
  2. Register for Night Time on the Farm on 7/31

    Location : Program Room
    Details : Have you ever wondered what farm animals do at night? Where do they sleep? Do they behave just like you when it is time for bed? Come and enjoy a story about what happens when you are dreaming, make a farm craft, and even visit with a farm friend. Register July 17.
  3. So Big!
    Time : 10:00 AM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : A storytime for parent and child with lots of music and movement followed by free play. Siblings welcome. Register July 3.
  4. Printmaking Workshop
    Time : 2:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Learn the basics of printmaking from artist Michael Krasowitz. Create your own printmaking plate and make colorful prints. Register July 5.
  5. BLOOD DRIVE
    Time : 2:30 PM
    Location : Community Room
    Details : Donate just one pint of blood and you could save three lives! Blood donations typically dwindle in the summer, and we need your help to keep supplies at adequate levels. Please take a few minutes on Tuesday, July 17 to give the gift of life. It is a wonderful way to give back to the community and pay it forward. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Donors must be aged 16-75 (under 18 needs parental permission), at least 110 pounds and in good health. You must bring ID and eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating. For information or to schedule an appointment, call the library at 631-549-4411 or sign up at shpl.info.
  6. Battle of the Books

    Details : For those who attend the Informational meeting on June 5 or spoke with the YA Librarian by June 19.
  7. Children's Movie: Night at the Museum
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : (Rated PG, 110 minutes) A divorced father who keeps losing his jobs every week applies for a job as a night guard at the Museum of Natural History. The easy job turns out to be an adventure when an ancient curse causes everything in the museum to come to life.
