    Details : Come and listen to some excerpts from the books and play some adventures. Write funny “valentines”, play wimpy soccer, play the cheese touch and then design your own journal to take home with you. Register July 8.
  4. Register for Mommy/Daddy and Me: Treasure under the Sea on 7/19
    Time : 9:30 AM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Dress up as a mermaid or a pirate and dance at the ball with seaweed ribbons. Participate in an under the sea story and then hide from the pirates under the ocean canopy. Together go on a treasure hunt and find treasure hidden in the sea and finally, bounce the sea creatures on an ocean parachute! Register July 8.

    Details : Make cookie dough that is safe to eat - enjoy by itself, in ice cream or bake them! Registration begins July 8.
  6. Summer Picture Book Time
    Time : 10:00 AM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Listening to stories is one of the first steps in eventually learning to read. Our children's librarians have wonderful stories to share in this independent program for 3, 4 & 5 year olds. Adults bringing children to these programs should plan to remain nearby in the Children's Department. Register July 3.
  7. Thursday Yoga
    Time : 11:00 AM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Join instructor Rob LoDolce as he leads you through yoga poses and breathing techniques that will strengthen the body and calm the mind. There is a $28 fee, payable at registration beginning June 10 for South Huntington cardholders.
  8. Children's Movie: Flushed Away
    Time : 1:00 PM
    Location : Theater
    Details : Pampered pet mouse Roddy St. James thinks he's got it made-- until he's literally flushed away to a bustling underground world of ninja frogs, hench-rats and singing slugs. (Rated PG, 84 minutes)
  9. Book Buddies (Children)

    Details : Young children (ages 3-8) are invited to spend an afternoon listening to stories read by teens from our community. Register July 1.
  10. Evening Yoga

    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Instructor Augusta Berner will teach a yoga routine that will strengthen, tone and relax you. There is a $28 fee, payable at registration beginning June 10 for South Huntington cardholders.
  11. YA Baking: Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Each chef will make waffle ice cream sandwiches to enjoy - a summertime treat! Registration begins June 21.
