    Details : Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes and fingerplays for children ages birth to 35 months with parent/caregiver. Siblings welcome. Register July 7.
  3. Register for So Big! on 7/13

    Details : A storytime for parent and child with lots of music and movement. Older siblings up to age 5 are welcome. Register July 7.
  4. Register for Stories & Things on 7/12

    Details : Children (ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2) and their accompanying grown-up participate in a program of fingerplays, songs, stories and a simple craft led by one of our children's librarians. Older siblings are welcome. Register July 7.
  5. My Grown Up & Me

    Location : Program Room
    Details : My Grown Up & Me is an integrated developmental playgroup that provides an opportunity for each grown-up and child team to have a meaningful experience through music and play. It is sponsored by the library and Alternatives for Children of Melville, Evaluator and Provider of Early Intervention and facilitated by music therapist, Beth Schwartz. Enrollment is limited to just 10 children, ages 18-30 months and an accompanying adult. No siblings please. To enroll, you must call Alternatives for Children at 271-0777 beginning July 6 at 9 a.m. A South Huntington library card is required. No repeaters from other sessions.
  6. Fingerpaintin' Fishie Fun
    Time : 3:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : What's in our ocean? Little ones will make their own discoveries, meet watery friends and enjoy fingerpainting. Dress for paint. Register July 3.
  7. Recycled Papermaking
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Did you know paper is made using a great deal of water/ Go green and try your own hand at creating your own recycled, earth-friendly paper out of newspaper and cotton! Register July 3.
  8. About Boating Safely
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : New York State Law requires everyone aged 14 and up to take a safe boating course and be certified to operate a personal watercraft. In addition, those aged 10-18 must take the course in before driving a boat. The Northport Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer this 8-hour course that will cover safe boating procedures, navigation, boating emergencies and applicable New York State laws. The certificate you receive upon completion of the class might also get you an insurance discount (check with your carrier.) There is a $40 fee that includes all course materials and certification. South Huntington cardholders can register beginning June 2; all others June 9.

    Details : A corporate downsizing expert flies all over the world to fire company employees. R, 109 mins. George Clooney, Best Actor nominee; Anna Kendrick and Vera Farmiga, Best Supporting Actress nominees. Also nominated for Best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay.
