  1. Computer Kindergarten

    Details : This is a slow-paced, user-friendly class for novice computer users. Using Windows computers, this class covers the basics, including turning the computer on and off, using the mouse, opening and closing programs, navigating the desktop and getting out of trouble. There is a $9 fee for this hands-on class, payable at registration beginning July 3 for South Huntington cardholders; all other July 10.
  2. My Grown Up & Me

    Details : My Grown Up & Me is an integrated developmental playgroup that provides an opportunity for each grown-up and child team to have a meaningful experience through music and play. It is sponsored by the library and Alternatives for Children of Melville, Evaluator and Provider of Early Intervention and facilitated by music therapist, Beth Schwartz. Enrollment is limited to just 10 children, ages 18-30 months and an accompanying adult. No siblings please. To enroll, you must call Alternatives for Children at 271-0777 beginning July 6 at 9 a.m. A South Huntington library card is required. No repeaters from other sessions.
  3. MS Office 2007 Overview CANCELLED
    Time : 7:00 PM
    Location : Meeting Room
    Details : Learn about Microsoft's Office 2007. Gone are the old menus and toolbars. The new ribbon groups your tools by task and the commands you use most frequently are close at hand. This hands-on class is for users who have some experience with prior versions of Microsoft Office applications. There is a $9 fee payable at registration, beginning July 3 for South Huntington cardholders; all others July 10.

    Details : Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair, is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora where a corporate consortium is mining a rare mineral that could be the key to Earth's energy crisis. PG-13, 160 mins. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver. Winner of Academy Awards for Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects. Nominated for Best Picture, Directing, Film Editing, Original Score, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing.
