    Details : Join instructor Rob LoDolce as he leads you through yoga poses and breathing techniques that will strengthen the body and calm the mind. There is a $25 fee, payable at registration beginning June 7 for South Huntington cardholders.

    Details : Bring your parent and learn how to take care of your skin during the summer months. Each child who attends will receive an activity booklet, UV bracelet, bucket hat and sunglasses after the program ends. No younger siblings, please. Register July 6.

  9. Mommy/Daddy and Me: Treasure under the Sea

    Details : Dress up as a mermaid or a pirate and dance at the ball with seaweed ribbons. Participate in an under the sea story and then hide from the pirates under the ocean canopy. Together go on a treasure hunt and find treasure hidden in the sea and finally, bounce the sea creatures on an ocean parachute! Register July 8.
  10. For Me: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

    Details : Come and listen to some excerpts from the books and play some adventures. Write funny “valentines”, play wimpy soccer, play the cheese touch and then design your own journal to take home with you. Register July 8.

  13. Meet the Author: Jones Beach, An Illustrated History

    Join John Hanc, author of Jones Beach: An Illustrated History, as he takes us back in time to the halcyon days at this landmark state park, when a trip to the beach was a family affair and Guy Lombardo staged shows at the Marine Theater. He also will explore Robert Moses' vision and how Jones Beach came to be one of the jewels in the state park system. Books will be available for sale and signing.

    John Hanc is a writer whose work has appeared in Newsday, Men's Health, The New York Times, Reader's Digest, Smithsonian and Yoga Journal, among others. He is an associate professor of journalism at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury and is the author of six previous books.
