The South Huntington Public Library is a longtime member of the Huntington Arts Council, a not-for-profit organization that promotes cultural arts in the Town of Huntington.

This month, the library is featuring "A Mother's Life 2009," a photography exhibit that is the culmination of a nine-month project in which 13 local women chronicled their roles as mothers through the lens of a camera. The exhibit was curated by Cynthia Grimm, a local photographer. Under the sponsorship of the library she applied for and was awarded a grant from the Huntington Arts Council to support the program.
